Still thinking about pointilism. Maybe this is how the wonderful detailed descriptions of the building of the Temple work on our minds. Not just shopping lists of luscious stuff, great though that is, but something else happening in our minds at a more startling level of connectivity…

Caution, and also the obsession with measurability and ticky boxes I think, makes for bland ready-mixed beigeness.
