One problem I have noticed is that when people are used to overuse of Power Point in training sessions for their work, then an immediate reaction can be ‘oh no – not another Power Point presentation’. That can lead to the potential hearer/viewer of the message to simply switch off at the start. Maybe the opening slide has to be particularly arresting to get over that?
