How differently similar…<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Someone speculated to me the other day about how different the\u00a0first\u00a0Christmas might have been if social media had been invented. \u00a0I suppose in some ways it might. \u00a0Word would have got around sooner, that’s for sure. \u00a0People would have been able to track the star more easily, and the shepherds would doubtless have posted their experiences online as the “returned glorifying God”. \u00a0Other things would have been the same though.<\/p>\n Mary would still have felt frightened and Joseph would still have felt inadequate. \u00a0When the great day came a mixture of awe and anxiety would have descended on the proud parents as it does around any crib. \u00a0Those\u00a0summoned to make their way to the birth of the young \u00a0king would still have wondered what to take and what they might find when they got there.
