{"id":4477,"date":"2012-01-18T10:30:43","date_gmt":"2012-01-18T10:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/richardlittledale.wordpress.com\/?p=4477"},"modified":"2012-01-18T10:30:43","modified_gmt":"2012-01-18T10:30:43","slug":"littlest-star-iv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/176.32.230.12\/richardlittledale.co.uk\/2012\/01\/18\/littlest-star-iv\/","title":{"rendered":"Littlest Star IV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#333399;\"><strong>A trail of sparks<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Those of you who have read the tale of the <a title=\"The littlest star\u00a0(II)\" href=\"http:\/\/richardlittledale.wordpress.com\/2011\/12\/09\/the-littlest-star-ii\/\">Littlest Star<\/a> will know that he didn&#8217;t have a <em>&#8216;trail of sparks to tow behind him across the heavens.&#8217;<\/em> However, when the Littlest Star completed his 2011\u00a0journey\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0offices of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shootingstarchase.org.uk\/\">Shooting Star Chase<\/a> yesterday, he left quite a trail of sparks behind him:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 publishing record &#8211; concept to publication in 22 days<a href=\"http:\/\/richardlittledale.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/01\/dscn2515.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1 author<\/li>\n<li>1 illustrator<\/li>\n<li>1 graphic designer<\/li>\n<li>1 production manager<\/li>\n<li>1 generous printer<\/li>\n<li>1 impressed comedienne<\/li>\n<li>1 mail manager<\/li>\n<li>2 BBC interviews<\/li>\n<li>100s of tweets<\/li>\n<li>Readings in churches, schools,a toy shop, a hospice and lots of bedrooms, kitchens and cars<\/li>\n<li>11 supportive local businesses<\/li>\n<li>379 copies sold<\/li>\n<li>Over \u00a31800 raised for Shooting Star Chase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_4476\" style=\"width: 273px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/richardlittledale.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/01\/dscn2515.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4476\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4476 \" title=\"star money\" src=\"http:\/\/richardlittledale.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/01\/dscn2515.jpg?w=263\" alt=\"\" width=\"263\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-4476\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Katy Jones takes delivery of the money...<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Huge\u00a0thanks\u00a0are due to all those mentioned above -for the generous donation of their time and talents. Through their generosity they have contributed to the lives of children in the most severe need.<\/p>\n<p>What next for <em>Littlest Star?<\/em> There are copies of the book ready to sell locally and online for Christmas 2012. Wouldn&#8217;t it be better, though, if a publisher could be found to promote the book nationally?
